
If it needs rearranging to sound better: Rewriting.
We’re not going to start again from scratch. Our assumption is that all the furniture is in place already, and that it only needs to be rearranged to create the right ambiance.
Unlike copyediting, rewriting involves structuring and organizing content. We tweak the floor plan, so to speak, and remove or add items if there’s a need to do so. Rewriting is like recasting your message to make it more coherent.
Of course, that eliminates the need for copyediting. And proofreading is taken care of as well.
